This button was released to commemorate the opening of the new New Tomorrowland at Disneyland on May 22, 1998. This was the third remodeling of the future-centered land and featured a Jules Verne inspired transformation of the land with bronze, dark brown and gold color scheme. The new Tomorrowland coloring was largely criticized by fans - especially the new look of Space Mountain. The land was returned to its retro future aesthetic in 2003.
The button features the new color scheme for Astro Orbiters and Space Mountain as well as the "French Fry Rocks" that were at the entrance to the new land. It is a pin-back style button and measures approximately 2 1/8 inches x 3 1/8 inches.
